Pinar de Campoverde is inland from Pilar de la Horadada, about 8km from the Costa Blanca coast and is a typical Spanish village set in a quiet, undeveloped area of wooded countryside with fine views of the Mediterranean sea.
Campoverde has mainly detached villas for rent and similar properties on large plots. Its proximity to several excellent golf courses and outstanding beaches makes Campoverde your perfect family destination for both apartments and villas.
Pinar de Campoverde is an established Spanish village set on a wooded hillside, 8 Km inland and with views to the Mediterranean. It is less crowded than the more developed areas towards Torrevieja, with mainly large detached homes and year-round residents. The village lies on the border of the Costa Calida, renowned
for its year-round temperate climate, which is why this area has become one of Spain's largest agricultural exporters.
The town centre has a range of bars, restaurants and a supermarket. There are also tennis courts,
swimming pools and banks and a Sunday street market. The local restaurants offer a wide variety of international cuisine.
Golfers have a choice of several excellent courses, including Villamartin, Campoamor and Las Ramblas.
And there are other sports facilities close by at Pilar de la Horada where a huge multi-sports complex has been
constructed. Several English run sports clubs offer badminton, tennis bowls
and table tennis and there is a large indoor swimming pool.
Near Campoverde is the Rio Seco Nature Reserve, perfect for walks and to enjoy the indigenous species of flora and fauna.
There are several rare species including some wild orchids and endangered species of dwarf palms.
Campoverde is a peaceful area, set amongst pine forests in a quiet hillside location and enjoying this wonderful Mediterranean climate
with more than 300 sunshine days each year, low rainfall and mild winters. The town is far enough away from the hustle
and bustle of the coastal resorts but close enough to enjoy their facilities.
To the south is the popular area of the Mar Menor with excellent resorts and beaches,
whilst to the north is the busy Orihuela Costa with outstanding resorts such as Cabo Roig, La Zenia, Campoamor,
Playa Flamenca and Punta Prima. All these resorts have EU Blue Flag beaches and a good range of facilities.
Campoverde is easily accessible from Murcia (San Javier) and Alicante airports. Murcia airport is about
20 minutes by car and Alicante around 50 minutes.
