Ciudad Quesada, 40 minutes south of Alicante on Spain's Costa Blanca, is the perfect destination for golfing and family Spanish holidays. Quesada is a prestige development with a good choice of restaurants, bars, shops, supermarkets, hairdressers and banks, plus a 24 hour medical centre and a pharmacy.

Ciudad Quesada has stunning south facing views over the salt lakes of Torrevieja and La Mata towards the Mediterranean Sea, and the Costa Blanca beaches - some of the best in Spain.

The award winning Ciudad Quesada's sports facilities include the La Marquesa 18-hole Golf Course, tennis and bowls club, scuba diving, horse riding and even an Aqua Park for the children.

There are tennis courts in Ciudad Quesada and bicycles for hire from one of the local shops. This is also an excellent area for horse riding, walking, bird-watching, sailing and windsurfing. The El Recorral nature reserve park has BBQ ranges and picnic areas for your perfect, relaxing day out. And to complete your holiday in Spain, the Hotel Laguna has a wonderful spa and fitness centre.

Inland, the mountains are clad with orange and lemon groves filling the air with their delicate aroma. Ciudad Quesada is only a 10 minutes drive through orange groves from the beautiful Costa Blanca sandy beaches of Guardamar del Segura, a typically Spanish seaside resort.

The beach at Guardamar is one of the longest and best beaches on the whole of Spain's Costa Blanca, and set against a backdrop of palm groves. Guardamar is surrounded by the Dunas - rolling sand dunes planted with eucalyptus, palms and pines. This is a wonderful place to spend the day either under the Spanish sun or under the cool shade of the pines.

Guardamar also has a good choice of restaurants specialising in local seafood, and the evening market, stretching from the main road to the beach, is a good source of souvenirs of your Spanish holiday.

There is plenty to see and explore around Ciudad Quesada in this part of the Costa Blanca, which also boasts many fine examples of Roman and Moorish architecture.

Golfers are well served at Ciudad Quesada. In addition to Quesada's own La Marquesa Golf Club, there are also many outstanding golf courses in the area including La Finca, Real Campoamor, Las Ramblas and Villamartin where the Spanish Open was held in 1994.

Alicante and Murcia airports are both only 30 minutes away, and within a short drive the excellent motorway provides easy connection to nearby towns and the rest of Spain. There is also a good taxi and bus service from Ciudad Quesada.
