a range of watersports. But despite the holiday atmosphere of Fuengirola, you
can still see fishermen leave in their small trawlers early every day.
A stroll along the long promenade by the sea is very popular, with an occasional visit to one of the many bars and cafes.
The climb to the Moorish castle of Sohail on the western edge of the resort is also well worth the effort.
The weekly market is every Tuesday, and is the the Costa del Sol's most popular market venue.
Sports enthusiasts are well served here, with windsurfing, scuba dives and other activities. For families with children,
there is a zoo and a water park. Fuengirola is especially popular with golfers, it is perfectly placed for access
to a wide range of courses on what has become known as the Costa del Golf. And by
night there's no shortage of bars and restaurants to suit every taste and pocket.
